This cute little 2.5 x 1.5" early McGill Alsteel Mouse Trap has a spring loaded bait pan, and serrated jaws to ensure an aggressive closure. The trap was made between 1930 - 1950 by the McGill Metal Products of Marengo, Illinois.
This trap is marker with full details on the top, but I didn't capture a picture of the markings. You need a bright light to read them due to the period patina of the item. I did not want to try and "restore" the item at this point.
