This original 7 x 10" magazine ad was published in McClures' magazine in 1897 to promote Parker Games, "Pillow-Dex" The Post Office Game & The War in Cuba. According to Google AI The Pillow-Dex game (or Pillow-Dex Hand Ball) was a popular Parker Brothers game from the late 1890s, essentially an early form of table tennis or volleyball, played with players batting an inflated balloon over a string "net" (like a string stretched across a table) using the backs of their hands, aiming to make it land on the opponent's side for points, with the first to score ten points winning the game.
